2. What do you know about the Fire Department?
3. What have done to prepare yourself?


UNDERSTAND
becoming a Firefighter is one of the most desired professions in the world. Thousands apply and very few are chosen.

REALIZE the path to obtain this career is a unique and long process. It may take several years to become a Firefighter. You will have to pass several phases of tests that include written examinations, physical agility tests, panel interviews, psychological evaluations, background investigations, medical assessments, and a fire academy.

KNOW
that your journey to become a Firefighter is just that… a journey. You will commit yourself to chasing the “dream job”. Getting the dream job is basically a full-time job. Candidates are motivated, hungry, and motivated to be part of the Fire Service. You will basically compete for the BEST profession on the earth. You need to stand out! Make yourself marketable. Education is paramount. Military and volunteer experience is priceless. Becoming a Paramedic is almost mandatory nowadays.

Many have gone before you and you are expected to "live & ride out" in their loving memory and pray that you die as valiantly and with as much courage as your fallen Brother or Sister did.
